A daughter of political refugees who were persecuted by the Iranian government in the early 1980s, multimedia artist and activist Sheida Soleimani recognizes how Middle Eastern culture is stereotyped by the West. "Absolute Powers" features photographs and a video incorpratiing elements from the interior space of the United Nations and images of international politicians at the UN ranging from Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez to Muammar Gaddafi and George Bush.
