1985-05-12 Dedication of 'The Resurrection Cross' in memory of George C Stevens |
For Christ Church, Greenwich, James Knowles, a former choirboy, sculpted a 12-foot, 1,400-pound bronze resurrection cross. Dedicated to the memory of George Stevens, a former parishoner, the cross was given by his wife Lydia, present senior warden, who called the cross "dynamic and searching."
